Cat’s Don’t Bark!

There are too many Christians “sitting in the stands” just “watching the game”….I believe we are being called to “get out of the stands, suit-up and get on the playing field!” The alternative is being held accountable to “faith without action” before the Throne of God.

I have reached one conclusion based on a series of conversations I have had with downtrodden Christians over the 2008 year; that we (followers of Jesus) have based God’s blessing to the financial state of our economy. This may get me into some trouble saying this, but, “Let the devil have our economy! …Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. We dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the Solid Rock we stand all other ground is sinking sand-all other ground is sinking sand….When He shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in Him be found, dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne…”

In my time before the Lord it has become clear to me that we (followers of Jesus) have been blind-sided and have lost ground. We must understand that when we give the devil and inch….he becomes our ruler! Every Christian needs to stop asking and start giving in one of three ways; Time, Treasures or Talents. This has to do with every local church we are committed to and every Christian initiative that God has called our community to pursue with reckless abandon.

…and to the downtrodden I have spoken with this past year and to us all, This is my question; Who among us will stand. Who among us will reach children and teenagers? Who among us will sponsor missionaries to reach them if we cannot? If you receive this chances are “You are on the playing field”. Who do YOU see sitting in the stands? Who needs to get into the game?

This I can promise you, because the Bible tells me so (2 Chronicles 7:14 & Isaiah 58:11) that if we Magnify God, and Mobilize His people only then will we Multiply His followers…
